Adam Senecaut is a political and animal rights activist in the Des Moines area and was the owner of Best Place Ever, an independent arthouse video rental store in the Drake Neighborhood, for over 8 years. Senecaut closed BPE in August of 2011 to pursue a venture that supports community-building and mutual aid.
A vegan for many years, he hopes to help educate people about the benefits of plant-based lifestyles and the environmental impacts the modern animal industry has on our planet.
Madeline Krantz has a love for creating satisfying, nourishing vegan dishes. She gains inspiration from colorful whole foods: fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, beans, and whole grains. With her goal to surprise and inspire people as they’re eating, the rotating menu works to break preconceptions people have about vegan food, and provides something for everyone, from the biggest meat eaters to those with allergies or dietary restrictions.
She believes a vegan lifestyle – with a diet of 100% whole plant foods – should not be a privilege, and is a necessity for anyone wishing to live as happily and compassionately as they possibly can.
