Adam Senecaut is a political and animal rights activist in the Des Moines area and was the owner of Best Place Ever, an independent arthouse video rental store in the Drake Neighborhood, for over 8 years. Senecaut closed BPE in August of 2011 to pursue a venture that supports community-building and mutual aid.
A vegan for many years, he hopes to help educate people about the benefits of plant-based lifestyles and the environmental impacts the modern animal industry has on our planet.
Madeline Krantz has a love for creating satisfying, nourishing vegan dishes. Former manager of West Des Moines’ café, Fresh Café & Market, she gains inspiration from colorful whole foods: fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, beans, and whole grains.
She has developed a menu that provides something for everyone: from meat-eaters, to those transitioning to vegetarian or vegan diets, and even those who follow a raw lifestyle, with a special attention to people with specific allergies or dietary restrictions.
She believes a diet of 100% whole plant foods should not be a privilege, and a necessity for anyone wishing to live as happily and compassionately as they possibly can.
